2000-Year-Old Roman Coin Found in Israel

Roman coins

An Israeli hiker found a 2000-year-old Roman coin recently. Apparently, it’s only the second one of it’s kind. The first is owned by the British Museum in London.

How could a coin lay unfound and undisturbed for 2000 years? That’s a mystery, but if this coin could talk, maybe we’d learn whether it lay there or moved from owner to owner over the past two millenia. I’m sure parts of that story would be fascinating.

To see a photo of the newly-discovered coin and read the rest of the story, head on over to MSN: Israeli hiker finds rare, 2000-year-old coin.
