Over 90% of North America’s native peoples no longer speak their native tongue. 95% of them do speak English. Several groups have seen the need to replace the original native language Bibles with English Bibles that reflect their storytelling culture and imagery.
First Nations Version of the New Testament Coming in 2016
Rain Ministries, OneBook of Canada, and Wycliffe Associates have partnered to create a First Nations Version New Testament. Scroll to about the 2/3 mark on their website for a telling of The Lord’s Prayer.
