God’s Poem: You

About ten years ago, I heard a talk on Ephesians 2: 8 – 9 – 10:

“God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.”

The speaker explained that “God’s masterpiece” in the Greek could also be translated, “God’s poem”. I felt deeply loved that God, the Master artist, created me for a purpose. I took the speaker’s challenge and prayed about the verse and what it meant for me.

After two weeks of focusing on this passage, I sensed God’s clear direction which I am still following today. Have you spent time in prayer, asking God to reveal His direction for your life?

What do you think?
