I first learned of this theory proposed by Dr. Walter Brown on a TV special around 1986. You can watch the six-minute interview of Dr. Brown taken from this special on YouTube. The interview included an animation of his theory. Even though the quality is a little worn, this is one of my favorite videos. His theory gives a very plausible explanation of how the flood occurred.
You might want to visit Dr. Brown’s web site and/or order his book, In The Beginning: Compelling Evidence for Creation and the Flood. His book is on my bookshelf and I’ve used his material frequently for presenting creation evidence to students and other groups.
